Marathon Petroleum Grant

 

 

Marathon Petroleum announced a $25,000 grant at the Anacortes Rotary club’s December 13 lunch. The funds are designated for the Rotary Viewpoint at Cap Sante project. Matt Gill, Marathon’s government and public affairs manager, and project fundraising leader Vicki Stasch jointly announced the donation. “Marathon has an extensive history of generosity in Anacortes,” Vicki Stasch said as she introduced Matt. “Just a few of the organizations Marathon has assisted both monetarily and with team members volunteers include the Anacortes Family Center, Helping Hands Food Bank, Anacortes Senior Center, Anacortes Parks Foundation and the Anacortes Schools Foundation.” “This is a big step forward so people of all ages can enjoy the outdoors at the summit.” Vicki said. “We are excited to see Cap Sante get this inviting vista overlook for all park visitors.” This generous donation to the club’s centennial legacy viewpoint project is leading the way to the final leg of the fundraising goal of $550,000.
